Roll Slitting

Roll cutting is the cutting process of coil-shaped sheet metals at specific lengths with specially designed machines. Before starting the cutting process, metal ones go through cleaning processes, acid and chemical substances clean metal surfaces from dust or other dirt.

Roll cutting is processed according to the material quality that customers want in terms of weight, diameter or width. It is the opening of sheet products in coil form, making circular movements at specific intervals, and winding them in narrower bands. The cutting process is carried out by circular-shaped steel blades. After the cutting process is completed, coil metals are delivered to the customer.

The roll cutting machine contains two rollers. The lower roller takes the end of the coil and transfers it to the conveyor belt. The upper roller prevents the uncontrolled opening of the coil with high pressing force. Then the metals progress from the roller towards the conveyor belt. The coil slitting machine consists of several stations and each station performs different operations on the metal. While one of the stations is softened at high temperatures, the other performs metal cleaning.
